Bengaluru: Cubbon Park will soon offer guided nature walks as part of its Sunday morning activities, exploring its rich flora, fauna, and history.
Launching on Sunday, the initiative is a collaboration between the Horticulture Department, The Naturalist School, and BangaloreWALKS.
Held every weekend, the 90-minute walks (7.30 am to 9 am) are led by trained naturalists and aim to deepen public awareness of the park’s biodiversity.
Though the structure remains fixed, the content varies weekly with seasonal highlights — flowering, fruiting, or unique plant traits.
Often seen as the physiological centre of Bengaluru, Cubbon Park once marked the divide between the colonial Cantonment and the native city. Nearly 70 per cent of its trees are exotic, many over a century old.
