<p>Bengaluru: The Cubbon Park police have arrested a 45-year-old cab driver, who allegedly opened the door of a parked vehicle near Queens Circle in central Bengaluru and stole valuables worth Rs 23.95 lakh.</p>.<p>The suspect has been identified as Raj Mohammad Mastan, a resident of Mahalakshmi Layout and a native of Tamil Nadu.</p>.<p>On May 11, the victim — a resident of Koramangala and a dancer — went to Cubbon Park for a morning walk and parked her car near Queens Circle. Mastan, who was also in the area, noticed that the victim had not properly closed the car door before entering the park.</p>.Copper wire thief teams up with acquaintances, burgles houses.<p>According to the police, Mastan waited at the spot for a few minutes, observing the surroundings to ensure no one was watching. When the movement of people reduced, he opened the car door and stole a bag kept inside.</p>.<p>The victim later told police that the bag contained a double-band diamond ring worth Rs 10 lakh, another diamond ring worth Rs 4 lakh, a watch valued at Rs 9 lakh, AirPods worth Rs 20,000, and a wallet that itself was worth Rs 75,000.</p>.<p>The Cubbon Park police reviewed CCTV footage from the area and identified Mastan as the suspect. He was arrested at his residence in Mahalakshmi Layout on May 13, and the police have since recovered all the stolen items.</p>.<p>A Bengaluru court has remanded Mastan to judicial custody.</p>
