The body of a middle-aged woman was found in a highly decomposed state at her rented house in Annayappa Gardens, Jaraganahalli on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Prabhavathi, 45. She was working at a garment factory and was living alone. According to sources, she separated from her husband several years ago. Her three daughters are married and live with their families separately.
The incident came to light after neighbours alerted cops over foul smell emanating from the house. JP Nagar police have registered a case of unnatural death.
