Based on a complaint filed by Shashank S, a resident of Judges Colony in Basaveshwara Nagar, police have booked the delivery agent, identified as Vishnuvardhan.

According to the FIR, the sister of Shashank’s wife ordered groceries on a quick commerce platform on Wednesday afternoon, and Vishnuvardhan was assigned as the delivery executive for the particular parcel. When he reached the location, the sister-in-law of Shashank went to collect the order.

“He scolded my sister-in-law in a high-pitched voice, and when I intervened, he abused me and assaulted me with his hands. He punched me in the face and injured my left eye,” Shashank alleged in his complaint.

Shashank told police that the suspect didn’t stop even though he tried to escape from him. Shashank claimed that he went to the eye hospital after the attack and got treatment for the injury. He filed a complaint after that.

Police have booked Vishnvardhan under BNS sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), and 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of trust).
