Depressed over her ill health, a 60-year-old woman committed suicide at her house in HAL on November 9. The deceased has been identified as Dhanalakshmi, a resident of Chinnappa Layout in Annasandra. The police said Dhanalakshmi, who was living with her daughter, had recurrent seizures and convulsions.
According to the police, Dhanalakshmi was undergoing treatment but continued to have frequent seizures, and this depressed her.
On Friday evening, she was alone at home and hanged herself from the ceiling fan. The incident came to light at night when her daughter returned home. She alerted the neighbours and police. The HAL police have registered a case.
