“There is hardly any dialogue, appreciation and criticism among artists’ fraternity about works of art. A body of public opinion about art works would uplift art journalism now,” said Dr Annapurna Garimella, Art Historian, on Wednesday.

She was speaking at the magazine release function of "ArtEtc" by Emami Chisel Art at Chitrakala Parishat.
Dr Annapurna said that a book on art would provide a platform for debate and open the public domain to art. Print media is dying in the West and it is only here that people still appreciate the print.

For professionals

Amit Mukhopadhyay, Editor, ArtEtc said that the magazine is for professional artists, who could use the medium to air their interpretation.

“It  will have reviews, write-ups; discussion on issues and challenges in contemporary art scenario.”
