The Kuvempu Bhasha Bharati Pradhikara will introduce translation diploma courses of various languages into Kannada from the next academic year.
Pradhikara Chairman Pradhan Gurudutt at a press briefing here at Nayana, Kannada Bhavan on Friday, said “We have also decided to constitute a national-level award to litterateurs and writers in Kannada, named after Mahakavi Kuvempu.”
Meanwhile, two new buildings of the Pradhikara that have been constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore, on the BU Jnanabharati campus will be inaugurated by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on August 19. Ten books on the works of the poet will also be released on the occasion, he added.
