The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) began the documents verification process for admissions to postgraduate medical courses here on Tuesday.

KEA conducted verification of documents for in-service quota. As many as 252 in-service candidates appeared for the verification. The details of all these candidates have been uploaded on the KEA website kea.kar.nic.in

On Wednesday, the Examinations Authority will begin the verification for non in-service candidates. Based on a Supreme Court direction, the results of all the candidates (both Karnataka and those from outside) have been declared.

Earlier, the results of the students who did not fulfil the 10 years’ domicile criterion to be eligible for the Karnataka’s share of seats, were withheld. The matter is still pending before the Apex Court. KEA can proceed with counselling only after the Court’s verdict.

However, the verification of documents will be conducted for all students. On March 26, ranks 1 to 1,200 will appear for the process. Candidates have been asked to be present with all the original documents.

Seats, this time, will be allotted through online counselling and hence, after verification of documents, the candidates will be given a secret key.

This will enable them to log in to the portal and enter options for seats. Further details are available on the KEA website, according to an official release.
