The continued drive, the fifth during the past one month, has been conducted against school vehicles/mini-vans driven dangerously, without permit and without safety equipment required for school vehicles. Twenty-five such vehicles were also seized under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988.
A release issued from the office of Joint Commissioner for Transport (Bangalore urban and Rural) states that the drive will continue.
