A 23-year-old driver succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, following a fight with his friend in Channammanakere Achchukattu area in Banashankari Third Stage on Friday night.
The police said the deceased, Avinash, was a driver. He was assaulted by his friend Suresh. Both of them worked for a tent house, which rents vessels and shamianas, and they resided there as well.
On Friday night, the duo got into a heated argument over a trivial issue. It soon turned into a fist fight. Suresh hit Avinash on his head repeatedly.
Avinash collapsed on the ground and Suresh fled the spot, said the police.

Hearing Avinash scream, his neighbours went to the tent house and found him. They shifted him to a nearby hospital and on Saturday, he succumbed to internal injuries, said the police.
The police registered a case and on Sunday evening, they arrested Suresh, who was on the run.
