According to the State Drug Controller, Dr B R Jagashetty, the arrest was made with prior plan. Agarwal was carrying Rs 1.25 lakh worth Juggat Pharma manufactured Botropase injection - used for Haemorrhage and Ranbaxy’s Rosuvastatin calcium tablet Rosuvas, which is used to lower cholesterol level.

In addition to this, Agarwal also had Rs 2 lakh worth drugs including ESI supply. The team led by SIB inspector Ganesh Babu, have registered a case against Agarwal at Chickpet police station. “The case is under investigation. We are trying to find whether the person had prior records, whether the drugs were genuine or fake and so on,” Dr Jagashetty said.
