A 52-year-old man was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle near Shivanahalli junction on the West of Chord Road on Tuesday night.
Chandrashekar, a resident of Ramachandrapura who worked as a security guard at a private company, was walking back home near Shivanahalli junction after visiting a relative when an unknown vehicle knocked him down. The driver didn’t stop and sped away. Some passersby saw Chandrashekar lying in a pool of blood and took him to a private hospital which declared him brought dead, police said.
A case has been registered at the Vijayanagar traffic police station. Police are making efforts to trace the vehicle and its driver.
