According to the BBMP officials, a report filed by the Zonal Commissioner (Bommanhalli) has been sent to the Palike Commissioner Siddaiah on late Saturday evening. The report has recommended repatriation of Patil on account of dereliction of duty.
“As Patil was deputed to the BBMP, the Palike cannot suspend him, hence he is being repatriated to the PWD,” said a BBMP official.
Patil, who is serving as the Joint Director in the BBMP Town Planning section was held responsible for assaulting a citizen. According to officials, Patil was deputed to the BBMP for the second time. Earlier too he was sent back to the PWD for alleged corruption and dereliction of duty.
Patil was accused of abusing septuagenarian Parameshwar Bhat and damaging his house. Palike Commissioner Siddaiah had directed the Zonal Joint Commissioner (Bommanahlli Zone) to submit a report on the incident.
