A 30-year-old garment factory employee was robbed at knifepoint by a cab driver who offered him a drop on Thursday night.
The police said Raju was waiting for a bus at Goraguntepalya to go to Tumakuru, his native town. Around 11 pm, a cab driver approached him and offered him a lift and Raju got into the cab.
After driving some distance on Tumakuru Road, the driver stopped and threatened Raju with a knife.
A scared Raju gave him his wallet containing Rs 2,000. Later, the driver forced Raju to get down and sped away, the police said. On a complaint by Raju, the RMC Yard police have registered a case.
