While threats from jingoistic politicians affected King Khan’s blockbuster on his home turf, it did little to dampen the enthusiasm of both the Gen-Next and uncles and aunties with their not so little, little ones in Bangalore.
The most in the movie halls gave a big thumbs up to Shah Rukh Khan’s latest blockbuster ‘My Name is Khan’ (MNIK) with the die-hard SRK fans watching multiple shows on the same day. Rebecca, who watched the blockbuster at a City theatre could only gush about the film and Khan’s performance.
“The movie hall was packed and as with all Karan Johar films, this film too was an emotional roller-coaster. As always I shed my fair share of tears,” she said. But her friend Che adopted a more measured stance and declared that the film was worth a watch.
“The film was typical Bollywood. Look out for Shah Rukh Khan’s performance in the movie,” Che said, reserving special praise for Khan’s performance in the film. Amar, a businessman who came with his family to watch MNIK said, “The plot borrowed heavily from Hollywood films but the message of the film is relevant and important.”
