Nyathappa (55) and his son Shivappa (26) were killed on the spot when a speeding bus knocked down their goods autorickshaw from behind near Vidyashilpa Circle in Yelahanka in the early hours of Friday.
The duo, residents of Gollu village on the outskirts, were on their way to sell greens to the market. When the auto was knocked from behind, the two fell on to the road and the bus ran over them killing them on the spot. Their bodies were shifted to the Yelahanka government hospital for postmortem. Yelahanka police have booked a case, arrested the driver, and seized the bus.
