Furniture and wooden materials were destroyed after a fire broke out at a furniture showroom in Gurappanapalya early Monday morning. Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
The security guards at the showroom noticed thick smoke and flames in the showroom around 3.30 am.
They alerted the police and fire control room. The firemen took about two hours to completely douse the fire. Though the cause for the mishap is unknown, the police have suspected that an electric short-circuit may have triggered the fire. The owner is yet to lodge a complaint mentioning the loss caused.
