Compagnie Linga presents ‘Re-mapping the body’ at Ranga Shankara on February 26 and 27, 7.30 pm.

The performance is also supported by Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts. The choreographic venture interlinks technology with body movements. The dancers wear an instrument during their performance and the instrument, in turn, transforms their movements to sound.

The inspiration for this choreographic venture was drawn from sports instruments that measure physiological parameters during effort to enhance the body’s performance.

Compagnie Linga worked in collaboration with the Sports Science Institute at the University of Lausanne, the Geneva University of Music, Future Instruments and Biopac Sytem inc., to create this venture. The sound system in the technology was developed in association with Swiss composer Christophe Calpini. Tickets are available at bookmyshow.com.
