The High Court of Karnataka on Wednesday directed Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) to go ahead with the construction of the new campus at Ramanagaram.
Justice A S Bopanna vacated the stay and directed RGUHS not to precipitate the matter with regard to the construction.
The judge passed an order in a petition filed by Dr Chandrashekhar and others who are Syndicate members of the university, seeking directions to the state government and the university not to shift the university to Ramanagaram.
The petitioners had contended the university does not have funds to construct a new campus and shifting the university would create problems for students and the faculty.
