'Harassed' by police, rowdy ends life
A 25-year-old history-sheeter reportedly committed suicide by consuming poison at his home in Indiranagar, East Bengaluru, on Sunday morning, purportedly due to "harassment" from police.
The deceased, Karthik, was arrested and jailed for attempted murder. He came out on bail recently. But the Bharathinagar police, on the "pretext" of questioning him, were harassing him, which drove him to suicide, his family suggested.
The Indiranagar police have registered a case over Karthik's suicide.
