A 29-year-old youth was found hacked to death on the streets of Shamanna Garden on Saturday. Byatarayanapra night patrol police found the body on a road in Shammanna Garden.
The deceased was identified as Imtiaz, a native of Mandya and a street hawker who sold clothes. He was living at his elder sister’s house in Goripalya. He did not return home on Friday after leaving for work. Police suspect old enmity behind his murder

Imtiaz’s brother Sardar Khan lives close to where his younger sibling was found murdered. Police said Imtiaz was involved in scuffles and had two cases of assault registered against him (in Byatarayanapura and JJ Nagar).
They added that they were questioning all of Imtiaz’s old rivals in connection with the case.
