The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday directed the Deputy Commissioner to suspend the Bengaluru East Taluka Tahsildar for not complying with the court orders and asked the commissioner to submit the report within 30 days.

The Tahasildar had failed to hold an enquiry and submit a report within 3 months as requested by the court in a land dispute case.

An affidavit was filed by the Tahasildar disputing the grant made in favour of the petitioner in respect of 2 acres of land in survey no 138 of Gunjur village, Varthur Hobli , Bangalore East Taluk   and also explaining the genuineness of the grant records given by the petitioner and contended that there was a serious dispute to withdraw the grant records produced by the petitioner.
