The High Court on Thursday dismissed the interlocutory application (IA) filed by a private party in the High Court stating that the land on which Bangalore Club is located does not belong either to the State government or the Club, but is the property of the defence and that it was once a civil and military station.

Justice Raghavendra S Chauhan dismissed the IA stating that the private party had no locus standi in the matter. Bangalore Club has filed a petition before the court challenging the assistant commissioner’s (Bengaluru North) order, dated July 20, 2015.

The AC had directed the Club to hand over the possession of the land to Revenue authorities as the Club had failed to furnish the records of ownership of the land.
