The High Court of Karnataka has extended the interim order stipulating the Cubbon Park police not to arrest actor Arjun Sarja till November 28.
Justice P S Dinesh Kumar was hearing a petition filed by Sarja, seeking quashing of the FIR registered against him on the basis of the sexual harassment complaint filed by actor Sruthi Hariharan.
In the previous hearing, the court had directed the police not to arrest Sarja till November 14. The court had also allowed the police to continue investigation in the case.
The government counsel also submitted that the police would not take any precipitative action.
Sarja alleged in his petition that the case and complaint filed by Sruthi were a classic case of abuse of law.
The court adjourned the hearing to November 28.
