Hearing a habeas corpus petition by Chinnaswamy, who had moved the High Court over his missing relative C Ravi, a dentist and resident of Basaveshwaranagar, the Court has ordered the notice.
Ravi went missing in May 2007 from Chennappa building, Prashanthnagar on Nagarbhavi Main Road and there has been no trace of him despite the police complaint.
The petitioner moved the High Court in January 2010 after the Police failed to trace him. The Court, which heard the matter, has ordered notice to Commissioner of Police and Inspector of Police, Vijayanagar Police Station and others.
