The Karnataka High Court today ordered issue of notices to the State and State Election Commission on a petition challenging the Karnataka Panchayat Raj Act (Amendment Ordinance) 2010 which accords 50 per cent reservation to SC/STs and OBCs.
Justice Ashok B Inchigeri also posted the matter for tomorrow when the petition filed by Maikondahalli Davangere zilla panchayat member Venkatesh came up before him for hearing.
