A 31-year-old housewife was found murdered at her house in Kaverinagar on Saturday.
The deceased Jayamma was a native of Madanapalli in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh.

She was the second wife of Nagaraj, a labourer, who is absconding since the time of her murder. The couple were married recently and residing at a rented house in Kaverinagar. The neighbours last saw Jayamma on Friday afternoon, when she was quarrelling with her husband over a trivial issue.

On early Saturday morning, Nagaraj’s father Venkatramappa, who lives nearby, came to his son’s place, where he found Jayamma bludgeoned to death. The owner of the house immediately lodged a complaint with the Mahadevapura police, who retrieved the body from the spot. Autopsy was conducted at Bowring Hospital.

Police sources say Jayamma had suffered no external injuries. They suspect she was hit on the back of her head with a blunt object, which may have led to her death. They added that Nagaraj was suspecting his wife’s fidelity and might have killed her.
