A simple breakfast stop at the Bengaluru airport turned into a security concern after a woman's bag was mistakenly taken away by another passenger.

A woman named Ami Palan, a marketer by profession, shared an incident on X narrating the chaos and confusion created at the Bengaluru airport due to the baggage misplacement.

Palan said that while she was having breakfast at the T1 area of the airport with her bag kept beside her table, another passenger beside her mistakenly took her bag and left their baggage at the airport, leading to security officers running a thorough checking.

"I was eating a dosa at the T1 arrivals area in Bangalore, and I had kept my bag right next to my table since there were other tables adjoining it. At some point, someone accidentally picked up my bag instead of theirs and left the airport. I only realised something was wrong when I stood up and couldn’t find my bag anywhere. I immediately went to the CISF control room to report it as missing. While this was happening, someone informed the security team that there was an unattended bag at the same place where I had been eating. The area was cordoned off and sniffer dogs were brought in to make sure the bag posed no security threat," she posted on X.

"After some frantic calls and checks, we finally traced the person who had taken my bag. They had already reached Yeshwantpur by then, having genuinely mistaken it for their own. I am now waiting for my bag to make its way back to me. All this, from what was supposed to be a simple breakfast stop. What a way to start the day," she added.

Palan in her comments section said that she eventually got her bag back.
