The 400 acre wooded campus of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore is a botanist’s delight.

Currently blooming in the campus is a showy handsome tree – the Bronze Shower tree, whose botanical name is Cassica moschata.

With a spectacular display of brilliant orange-copper-yellow cascade of flowers in long pendants, the tree displays nature’s way of heralding the onset of summer in Namma Ooru Bengaluru.
