A woman police inspector posted to the Internal Security Division (ISD) has been suspended for not honouring a high court order.

The matter dates back to 2014 when R Susheela, then in charge of the women's police station in Mysuru, had registered a domestic violence case against a family based on a complaint by a woman named M Radha.

The family moved the high court for the quashing of the FIR. The court ordered the police not to pursue the case. Susheela, however, filed the charge sheet against the family in a Mysuru court in 2015. The family again approached the high court citing contempt of court.
