The State government on Thursday transferred Joint Commissioner of Police, Crimes (East), Bangalore B Dayananda and appointed IPS officer S Murugan in his place.
Dayananda headed investigations into the Bangalore terror module case wherein the City police had arrested 15 persons.
The case was later taken over by National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Dayananda has now been posted as Inspector General of Police, CID, Economic Offences, Bangalore.
In another transfer, Prem Shankar Meena has been posted as Additional Director General of Police, Recruitment and Training, Bangalore.
