Iraqi student dies in mishap

An Iraqi student on a jolly ride to Nandi Hills was killed on the spot when his motorbike rammed another two-wheeler near International Airport, Monday morning.

Mustafa Azim, 19, a BPharma student at East Point College and his two friends were on their way to Nandi Hills on two motorbikes.

Azim failed to notice a road hump near Kote Junction on National Highway-7, lost control over his two-wheeler and rammed the bike of his friend from behind.

He was thrown off the bike and killed instantaneously while his friend Chickchik, who was riding pillion sustained injuries, police said. Azim had come to Bangalore a year ago.

Undertrial found dead

An undertrial was found dead, hanging from a water pipe, in a bathroom at Central Prisons, Parappana Agrahara, Sunday night. Siddalinga, 31, was convicted by a court on Saturday for the murder of his wife.

The police have ruled out any foul play and declared the incident as a case of suicide.
