IT firm staffer arrested for duping job-seekers

The sleuths of Central Crime Branch have arrested a private company employee on the charge of cheating several people by promising them jobs in a well known software company.

According to police, Mukund T R, working as chief operating officer with Technologies Private Limited in Banashankari 3rd Stage, was arrested after a raid on his office. Mukund, along with his accomplices, cheated several people promising jobs in IBM. His aides Naveen, Yeshwanth, Sandeep, Utkarsh Gupta, Anil Deshmukh and Vijaykanth are absconding.  

Police said the fraudsters also cheated data entry companies to the tune of Rs 25 lakh by not paying them for the work done. Hanumanthanagar police have registered a case.

7 rowdies held

The CCB police on Friday arrested seven accomplices of notorious rowdy Korangu Krishna. The arrested have been identified as Narasimha, Charankumar, Manju, Raghavendra, Ravikumar, Prasanna and Basvaraj. Lethal weapons, an autorickshaw and three bikes were seized from them. They were planning to attack rival rowdy Chetan, police said. Rajgopalnagar police have registered a case.
