The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has cancelled the admissions in four colleges as the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has derecognised these institutions.
The colleges are Sri Belimatha Institute of Technology, Nelamangala; Basava Academy of Engineering, GSS Institute of Technology, and Sri Krishna School of Engineering and Management, all in Bangalore.
According to an official press release from the KEA, the State government, in its letter on June 26, has directed it to cancel admissions made in the above colleges. The KEA recently completed the first round of counselling for admissions to undergraduate professional courses.
