Freddy came to India in 2001 on a student’s visa and completed BSc at Maulana Azad College, Aurangabad. He came to Bangalore in 2005 for higher education and completed his postgraduation in Electronic Media at CMR College in 2009, police added.

He befriended some Nigerians and Palestinians in 2005 and became addicted to drugs. Freddy, also an associate of drug pushers Pappajo, Stephen Kioter and Ruth Vangoi Pilal, took to peddling banned substances.

Freddy procured cocaine from Pappajo and sold it to students, employees in IT and BT sectors, and to others near bars and restaurants, police said. Cubbon Park police had registered cases against Freddy and Pappajo for a similar offence in 2005. But the duo was absconding since then, the police added.
