The BBMP Standing Committee slapped a second notice on Koramangala Club for ‘illegally’ closing down secondary drains on Thursday.

Chairperson of the committee K Devadas said that the club had closed drains on its premises without seeking permission from the Palike.  “We had issued a notice earlier but it was ignored. A second notice has been slapped. A letter will be sent to BBMP Commissioner Kumar Naik highlighting the issue and the further course of action that needs to be taken against violators. The club has been leased by the Bangalore Development Authority to private a entity.”

The committee took a look at the ongoing stormwater drain  remodelling works at Adugodi Main Road, executed by the civic agency, at a cost of Rs 25 crore, under the Nagarothana Scheme.

The project is expected to be complete in another six months. The project budget also provides for asphalting of the 27-metre Adugodi Main Road, which has already been completed, members the committee said.
