Bengaluru: The Department of Life Sciences at Kristu Jayanti College, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Karnataka, organised the 6th International Millet Trade Fair, bringing together students, academicians, and agricultural experts to promote millet cultivation and innovation.
Distinguished attendees included GT Putra, Director of Agriculture, and Venkatarama Reddy J Patil, Additional Director of Agriculture (Organic Farming), among others.
Students actively participated in the event, which showcased millet-based exhibitions, entrepreneurship initiatives, and discussions on the nutritional and economic potential of millets.
A highlight of the event was the announcement of a free stall allocation for Kristu Jayanti students at the International Millet Trade Fair, scheduled from January 23 to 25. The fair will host participants from over 70 countries and more than 25 Indian states.
