The Karnataka State Bar Council has submitted a memorandum to Governor, Hans Raj Bhardwaj condemning the police atrocities against lawyers in Jaipur and Chandigarh.
“The executive using the police power to trample the legal fraternity in this manner is highly reprehensive,” said the Council.
The Council members later held a protest in the afternoon at the High Court on Monday.
