The students of Canadian International School (CIS) displayed some amazing work of art during the ‘Festival of the Arts’ event held at its campus recently.

The event saw a range of activities like painting, clay modeling, puppet making, quilling, kite-flying, pottery sessions and glass ware photography.

There were also events which included making handcrafted goods, music, visual and performing arts, drama performances and more.

The young artists created canvases with colourful drawings and unique wall art with vibrant shades and brushstrokes. Artistes from various fields were invited to conduct workshops and share their knowledge with the students. The students also witnessed some engaging performances by various groups with special costumes.

The school also provided a platform for various NGOs whose objectives were to revive art and craft and support the folk and traditional artisans and the underprivileged. Few NGOs such as ‘Belaku Trust’, ‘Gramin Angadi’ and ‘Sevita’ put up their stall to promote the works of the artisans.

“Our students are really creative. We want them to showcase their creativity and the best of their potential.

We believe in the arts and the event demonstrated how artistically inclined our students are,” says Shweta Sastri, the executive director of Canadian International School.
