The candidates declared by the Congress and the BJP for three constituencies in the City made the best use of Sunday to reach out to voters.

The Congress candidate for Bangalore South, Nandan Nilekani, began the day with canvassing in Govindarajnagar. He started a ‘padayatra’ at Ambedkar Stadium at 7 am, greeting morning walkers and joggers. He even played cricket and badminton at the stadium.

His rival and BJP candidate, H N Ananth Kumar, held a road show in Cholurpalya, RPC Layout, Vijayanagar  and Bommanahalli Assembly constituency.  The BJP candidate for Bangalore North, D V Sadananada Gowda, held a road show in Malleswaram and interacted with party workers. His rival and Congress candidate, C Narayanaswamy, attended the party’s ‘Bharat Nirman’ yatra in Dasarahalli. KPCC president, G Parameshwara and senior leader B L Shankar were in attendance. Rizwan Arshad, Congress candidate for Bangalore Central, took out a ‘padayatra’ in Shanthinagar, Johnson Market, Neelasandra, Anepalya, Austin Town and Nagavara. His rival and BJP candidate, P C Mohan, held a road show in Chamarajpet.
