A passerby discovered the body around 7.30 am near Karihobanahalli and informed the police. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

Saidulu Adavath, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said the man appeared to be a labourer from Bihar working in the vicinity.

While the body did not bear many external injuries, the case is being treated as a murder, the DCP said.

The police suspect the man was killed elsewhere and the body was later dumped in the isolated location.
