A 34-year-old man was mowed down by a speeding Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus on Hosur Road on Monday afternoon.
Police identified the deceased as Muralidhar, a native of Malur. He was working as a tailor in a garments factory and was living with his wife and children in Rupena Agrahara.
Around 2 pm, he was walking back home to have lunch. The speeding bus ran him over near Bosch factory. Passersby called the police and shifted Muralidhar to a nearby hospital but he failed to respond to the treatment and died. The public caught the bus driver, Vijay Kumar, and handed him over to the police. The Madiwala police have seized the bus and registered a case.
