The accused Devaraj (33) has been taken into custody for allegedly murdering his elder brother Dhananjay (35) at his house. Both of them were carpenters by profession and were unmarried.
On Thursday night Devaraj returned home at about 10.30 pm in a drunken state. After opening the door of the house Dhananjay went to sleep. Devaraj then took a screwdriver and stabbed Dhananjay in his neck, which led to his death, the police said. Police suspect that property dispute could be the reason behind the murder.
