A 40-year-old man having a criminal record died after suffering a cardiac arrest at the Tilak Nagar police station, South Bengaluru, on Saturday.  

Sadiq Pasha, of Tilak Nagar, was brought to the police station by a constable around 12.30 am. But soon afterwards, he started vomiting. He was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors said he had some heart ailment. He was then taken to the Jayadeva hospital where he died of a cardiac arrest on Saturday evening, police said.  

Pasha was involved in various vehicle thefts in the locality, according to the police.  Senior police officers are looking into the case  as  part of a procedure laid down to  investigate  custodial deaths.
