According to Palike sources, the only two people on the MEA list were the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and Home Minister V S Acharya.
Even the Chief Secretary was not on the list of dignitaries sent by the MEA to the Karnataka Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR).
“The protocol demands that the Mayor as the first citizen of the City should receive the Head of the government or State. But we do not know what happened this time,” informed a Palike source.
