According to the police, Lalan Kumar from Bihar was pursuing MCA course in Acharya Polytechnic College in Soladevanahalli.
Lalan had an affair with Lalita Kumari, a married woman. When she became more demanding, Lalan Kumar decided to get rid of her and murdered her, police said.
Held for theft
Prakash (54), suspected of stealing valuables across states was arrested on Friday and expensive watches, three goggles and a laptop all worth Rs 16.25 lakh were recovered from him.
According to the RT Nagar police, Prakash from Laggere was involved in many theft cases in Bangalore, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Goa.
He struck at a watch showroom in Koramangala recently by breaking open a portion of a wall and made away with expensive watches, the police said.
