Namma Metro commuters who used Trip Count Tickets (TCT) for regular travel between two fixed stations will have to switch to Stored Value Ticket (SVT) from March 1.

Trip ticket system allowed commuters to recharge a certain number of trips, instead of recharging the fare amount. "With effect from March 1, no new TCTs will be sold due to change in business rules," a statement from BMRCL said.

However, the existing TCT holders can continue to use the ticket till the existing trips/validity are completed. But there will not be any TCT recharges. The card, however, can be used with SVT recharges.
