The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will induct the third six-car metro rake on Wednesday. The train will be flagged off at Vidhan Soudha by Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara in the morning.

The train with a larger capacity is expected to boost Namma Metro’s ridership further. Following the introduction of the second six-car train, BMRCL clocked 4.36 lakh riders during the festival rush last month.

The corporation is working on adding three intermediate coaches to the remaining three-car trains, which are supplied by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML).
