A 9-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted by a man on Begur Main Road in Electronics City police limits on Saturday.
The incident took place when the victim was returning home from school in the afternoon, the police said. The suspect followed the girl, forcibly took her to an isolated place and molested her. The incident came to light after the girl narrated her ordeal to her parents. Her parents work as labourers, police added.
The victim was rushed to St John’s Hospital for a medical examination which indicated sexual abuse. “We have registered a case and are on the lookout for the suspect,” a police officer said.
