Minor, seven others held for murder

Kamakshipalya police have arrested eight persons, one of them a 13-year-old boy, in connection with the murder of a youth.

The arrested are:  D K Raghu, 23, M Manja, 23, Ramesh, 23, Krishna, 23, – all residents of Agrahara Dasarahalli; Madhu, 19, Vijayanagar, G Ravikumar, 26, Moodalapalya and Kumar, 23, Rajajinagar and a minor boy.

They allegedly hacked Venu, 26, to death on 12th Cross, Agrahara Dasarahalli on November 28. They told the police that Venu used to quarrel with them over petty issues and would threaten to murder them. The police seized lethal weapons, cricket bats, wickets, a car and a bike from the arrested.

Worker held for theft

The CCB police arrested a worker at a jewellery shop on the charge of theft and recovered 26.32 kilo of silver ornaments worth Rs 17 lakh. 

Ramesh, 24, a resident of Yelahanka, was arrested near Singanayakanahalli bus stop.

During the interrogation, he told the police that he worked with Tulasi Jewellers near
Halasuru Gate and stole silver ornaments everyday before going home. 

The owner, noticing the valuables missing after a few days, lodged a complaint, added the police.
